Ingredients
- 2 lbs round steak
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cups diced celery
- 2 cups diced onion
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 cup bouillon
- 1 No. 2½ can tomatoes (approximately 28 oz)
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- 1 can mushrooms
Steps
- Sear the steak in oil in a large pot or skillet. Add the vegetables — celery, onion, green pepper, and garlic — except the tomatoes, parsley, and mushrooms.
- Sear everything together for about 5 minutes.
- Add salt, pepper, bouillon, and tomatoes. Cover and cook for 1½ hours.
- Thicken the gravy to desired consistency.
- Stir in the parsley and mushrooms and serve.
