Ingredients

  • 2¼ cups flour
  • 1¼ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup bananas (mashed, presumed)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • ⅔ cup shortening
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour a 13×9×2-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients together.
  3. Spread batter evenly in the prepared pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 30–35 minutes.
  5. Ice with peanut butter icing (recipe not included on this card).
