Ingredients

Cookie Dough

  • ¾ cup flour
  • ¼ cup margarine (oleo)
  • 1 egg
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • Yellow and red food coloring (combined to make orange)

Glaze

  • 7 packets Equal
  • ¼ cup warm water

Frosting

  • 7 packets Equal
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon margarine (oleo)
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream

Steps

Cookie Dough

  1. Combine flour, margarine, egg, and baking powder. Stir well.
  2. Add yellow and red food coloring together to achieve an orange color; mix into the dough.
  3. Roll dough out on a floured surface and cut into small pumpkin shapes.
  4. Bake at 350° for 12 minutes.

Glaze

  1. While cookies are still warm, brush with a mixture of 7 packets of Equal dissolved in ¼ cup warm water.

Frosting

  1. Make the frosting: mix together 7 packets Equal, 1 tablespoon cocoa, 1 tablespoon margarine, and 2 tablespoons sour cream until smooth.
  2. Frost the cooled cookies with the chocolate frosting.
