Ingredients

Filling

  • 6 cups sliced, pared tart apples
  • 1¼ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup Bisquick baking mix

Streusel

  • 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • ½ cup chopped nuts
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons firm margarine or butter

Steps

  1. Heat oven to 325°F. Grease a 10×1½-inch pie plate.

Filling

  1. Mix apples with cinnamon and nutmeg; turn into prepared pie plate.
  2. Beat milk, softened margarine (or butter), eggs, sugar, and ½ cup Bisquick together until smooth — 15 seconds in a blender on high, or 1 minute with a hand beater.
  3. Pour the batter over the apple mixture in the plate.

Streusel

  1. Make the Streusel: Combine 1 cup Bisquick, chopped nuts, brown sugar, and 3 tablespoons firm margarine (or butter); mix until crumbly.
  1. Sprinkle Streusel evenly over the top of the pie.
  2. Bake at 325°F until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes.
