Ingredients
Filling
- 6 cups sliced, pared tart apples
- 1¼ teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¾ cup milk
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup Bisquick baking mix
Streusel
- 1 cup Bisquick baking mix
- ½ cup chopped nuts
- ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons firm margarine or butter
Steps
- Heat oven to 325°F. Grease a 10×1½-inch pie plate.
Filling
- Mix apples with cinnamon and nutmeg; turn into prepared pie plate.
- Beat milk, softened margarine (or butter), eggs, sugar, and ½ cup Bisquick together until smooth — 15 seconds in a blender on high, or 1 minute with a hand beater.
- Pour the batter over the apple mixture in the plate.
Streusel
- Make the Streusel: Combine 1 cup Bisquick, chopped nuts, brown sugar, and 3 tablespoons firm margarine (or butter); mix until crumbly.
- Sprinkle Streusel evenly over the top of the pie.
- Bake at 325°F until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, 55 to 65 minutes.
