Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • ¾ cup cocoa
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup Pet evaporated milk
  • 2 lbs. (7½ cups) confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup pecans
  • Cooking spray (for pan)

Steps

  1. Spray pan with cooking spray.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  3. Add cocoa and stir to combine.
  4. Stir in evaporated milk.
  5. Gradually stir in confectioners' sugar and salt until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. Add vanilla and stir to combine.
  7. Stir in pecans.
  8. Pour into the prepared pan.
  9. Refrigerate until cool, then cut into pieces.
