Ingredients

3 pounds butter
2 pounds confectioners' sugar
5 eggs
¼ cup vanilla
4 cups flour
Optional mix-ins: chocolate chips, nuts, and/or raisins (or whatever you want)
Confectioners' sugar for topping (optional)

Steps

Whip the butter for 15–20 minutes until light and fluffy.
Add the next 3 ingredients (confectioners' sugar, eggs, and vanilla) and mix to combine.
Add the flour last and mix until incorporated.
Fold in optional mix-ins (chocolate chips, nuts, raisins, or other additions) if desired.
Drop or shape cookies onto a baking sheet and bake at 359°F. (Baking time not specified on card.)
Alternatively, bake plain and sprinkle confectioners' sugar on top when done.
