Ingredients

1 box white cake mix
1 cup Wesson Oil
1 small box strawberry Jell-O
1 cup strawberries, mashed (drain most of juice off)
1/2 cup milk
4 eggs
1 cup flaked coconut *(optional)*
1 cup chopped nuts *(optional)*

Steps

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine all ingredients — white cake mix, Wesson Oil, strawberry Jell-O, mashed strawberries, milk, eggs, and (if using) coconut and chopped nuts — in a large bowl and mix together thoroughly.
Pour batter into three greased 9-inch layer cake pans or one greased sheet cake pan.
Bake at 350°F for approximately 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
