Stuffed Shells

Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef (hamburger)
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons oil
- ¼ cup bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 12 oz. mozzarella cheese, grated
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 2 teaspoons parsley flakes
- 1 quart spaghetti sauce
- ¼ cup sharp cheese, grated
- 16 oz. large pasta shells
- Italian seasoning, to taste
Steps
- Cook the large shells according to package directions. Set aside to cool until cool enough to handle.
- In a bowl, combine the eggs and bread crumbs; mix together.
- Fry the hamburger and onion in oil until cooked through. Add Italian seasoning to taste.
- Combine the cooked meat mixture with the egg-and-breadcrumb mixture.
- Add the grated mozzarella cheese, parsley flakes, and pepper. Mix well.
- Stuff the cooled shells with the meat-and-cheese filling.
- Arrange stuffed shells in a baking dish.
- Pour spaghetti sauce over the shells.
- Top with grated sharp cheese.
- Cover and bake at 350° for the first 10 minutes, then uncover and continue baking for a total of 30–40 minutes.
